Classics: Psycho, Taxi Driver, (Kubricks's)The Killing, & The Graduate. None for the faint of heart...

I'm kinda 'iffy' about most "Favorite Movies Of ALL TIME" around here. They tend to sound like Hollywood-PR fluff for Summer no-brainer Blockbusters.

"Predator" (?) - 'Alien' set in a Jungle.

'Alien' was only a slasher-flick set in Outer-Space.

1980, good year to start a slasher-franchise!

See "Dark Star" for a more humerous take on the same storyline (by the same guy too!)

Too many big Hollywood flicks in these lists... Does nobody believe "El Topo" by Alejandro Jodorowsky had more meaning than Clint Eastwood in "good, Bad, Ugly"??

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Well, it's easy to insult some elses choice of best movies that way.

For instance, I could say:
"English Patient": - Lawrence of Arabia ripoff with a love story, or whatever.

And I hate to tell you, but most "classics" were and are, "Hollywood movies".
In fact, many of them were made by the studio system, which cranked out films like a meat-grinder, machine gun, style for decades.

I could just as easily dismiss your opinion as "typical film-school drivel" or whatever.

Just because a film has wide commercial appeal, doesn't mean it's crap.

hmmmm, favorite movies. there are way too many to list but ill try.
anything by the coens, eraserhead, the trial, the lost weekend. pretty much anything by hitchcock, or kubrick. kevin smiths stuff is pretty damn funny also. thats just a few of my favs.
